The Story
Brass has been worked by hand in northern India for generations, hammered on a stake or small anvil into forms that catch and scatter light differently from every angle. The disc is a mainstay of that vocabulary: a simple circular blank that lets the hammer's texture do the talking, and that can be graduated in size and strung to build movement into a single piece, as it is here.
